Senator Newman steps in as Chair of San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus
Sacramento, CA – Senator Josh Newman will Chair his first meeting of the San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus today. Newman was elected chair by his colleagues from the San Gabriel Valley at a meeting of the Caucus in May. He succeeds Senator Ed Hernandez, who will serve as Vice Chair.

The San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus is comprised of 12 Senators and Assemblymembers representing the greater San Gabriel Valley. The caucus works across party lines to bring to the attention of the full Legislature, issues of importance to the San Gabriel Valley and its residents.
Senator Josh Newman represents the 29th Senate District, which includes cities across Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Counties. Senator Newman also represents several cities that are in the Valley including Walnut, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights and West Covina.
