Bill to expand Chino Hills State Park awaits Gov. Newsom’s signature If signed by Newsom, a bill by state Sen. Josh Newman will result in about 1,500 acres added to the park

A piece of legislation sitting on the governor’s desk would enable Chino Hills State Park to expand by more than 10% by incorporating 1,530 acres of untouched ridgelines along the eastern flank into the park’s boundaries.

Senate Bill 266 authored by state Sen. Josh Newman, D-Fullerton, was approved by both the Assembly and the Senate earlier this month and awaits the signature of Gov. Gavin Newsom.
