Senator Newman Announces Winners of Rescue Pet Competition

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As you may know, my office has been collecting submissions for our rescue pet photo competition.

After a thorough review process, I am pleased to finally announce the winners of the competition. Thank you to everyone who shared photos of their beloved rescue pets with us. My team and I greatly enjoyed seeing all your companions – furry, feathered, four-legged, and everything in between – and the joy they bring to you and your families every day.

In first place are Trevi and Cooper (who we’ve affectionately nicknamed the “Legal Beagles” after their visit to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.), submitted by Jordan L. Law. Trevi, who was a stray dog for the first two years of her life, was eventually rescued by her current owners alongside her brother, Cooper.

In second place is Wyatt, who was rescued and adopted in 2019, submitted by Tessamarie Steele.

In third place is the adorable Milo, seen here in uniform.

Congratulations to the winners of our rescue pet photo competition! Not only do these rescue pets receive the honor of being the cutest rescue pets in Senate District 29, but their photos will also be framed and displayed on the walls of the reception area of my Capitol office.
