One of the most satisfying acts as an elected official is the ability to successfully reach out to our youth in meaningful ways and open doors to opportunities, experiences and resources. In 2017, my office began the Young Legislators Program for the California State Assembly. Our Young Legislators are High School students who are leaders in their schools and communities. They have great futures ahead and we hope many will be part of the political world.
