(SACRAMENTO) — Senator Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton) today announced that nine bills from her 2025 Legislative Package have passed both houses of the Legislature and are headed to Governor Newsom’s desk. In the final weeks of session, which ended today, legislators debated hundreds of proposals, advancing reforms to strengthen environmental quality and equity—particularly in the Inland Empire.
“I was diagnosed with cancer in December and only recently returned to the Senate Floor after months of treatment after surgery,” said Senator Reyes. “That experience has deepened my gratitude—for life, for health, and for the honor of serving this community. To see our team deliver meaningful reforms during this time has been profoundly reaffirming. These past four weeks, we pushed through important measures that will improve quality of life back home, and I cannot wait to return to the district this fall and reconnect with the communities closest to my heart.”
The bills awaiting Governor Newsom’s signature are listed below. More information about Senator Reyes’ 2025 Legislative Package can be found on her website.
