Mt. Vernon Bridge Ribbon Cutting

The Mt. Vernon Bridge has always been an important connector for the citizens of San Bernardino and Colton, specifically the public transit sector, allowing students to travel to and from the college. It was closed for demolition in 2020 due to serious safety concerns, which eliminated direct transit access to the west side of San Bernardino for 5 years. The new bridge, which opened to traffic again on August 23, is modern, safe, and accessible for all modes of transportation. Senator Reyes is proud to have been able to secure the funding necessary to start the project, which bridged the west side of San Bernardino once again. Congratulations, San Bernardino!
