Sen. Reyes Senate Fellow Mmeli Ugochukwu Recognized on the Floor
Mmeli Ugochukwu has served in our office as Senate Fellow since last fall, staffing our work on the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Native American Caucus, as well as critical issues, such as health and human services, and veteran affairs.
Mmeli was born and raised in Lancaster, is a graduate of UCLA, and before coming to the Capitol she worked as a substitute teacher, where she left a lasting impact on her students.
My team and I have been consistently impressed with how quickly Mmeli has taken to the rigor and pace of the Legislature, especially during a very unique fellowship experience.
She has served the constituents of the 29th Senate district with distinction, dedication, and honor. We are so fortunate she brought her experience and knowledge to Team Reyes.
Congratulations Mmeli - we can't to see what you accomplish next!
